This is always a difficult decision to make and often our head may tell us one thing and our heart another. If you would like to talk it through, we can offer a pre-euthanasia telephone appointment (free of charge) in which we can discuss your concerns and offer advice. We use a 2 step procedure, in which we first give your pet a sedative, to relax and make your pet feel comfortable. Once sedated, we gently give a high dose of anaesthetic and they pass away within minutes of the injection.
There is never a time limit. Every appointment is different, with the needs of the pet and family are our priority. If you require time to discuss what will happen before the procedure, or you want private time with your pet afterwards, there is never a rush.
